Head to Auckland’s Downtown Ferry Terminal and board your Fullers360 ferry to Waiheke Island from piers 11 and 12.

Upon arrival, exit Waiheke Island’s Matiatia Ferry Terminal and catch the Hop-On Hop-Off Explorer Bus.

Stop at Cable Bay Vineyards, Batch Winery, and Stonyridge Vineyard and enjoy a selection of wines and learn more about the vineyards they are made in.

When you are ready to return to Auckland, ride the Hop-On Hop-Off Explorer Bus back to Matiatia Ferry Terminal and catch a Fullers360 ferry back to the city.

The vineyards
Cable Bay Vineyards produce premium, hand-crafted wines from grapes grown on its Waiheke Island and Marlborough vineyards– two of the most well-known growing regions in New Zealand.
Its Waiheke Island winery is situated on the stunning west coast of the island, boasting stunning views overlooking Auckland. There, you’ll be able to taste wines at Cable Bay Vineyards’ cellar door, share platters and plates at its eatery The Bistro, or enjoy relaxed dining in The Verandah.
Vineyard Explorer tastings available:
Monday to Sunday: 11am until 5:00pm (last tasting)
Stonyridge Vineyard is a world-renowned Cabernet-blend winegrower and is known for its flagship wine Larose, which rocketed Stonyridge to national fame and attracted international attention.
Located between Oneroa and Onetangi beach, Stonyridge Vineyard is known for its gorgeous setting that is reminiscent of the south of France.
You can learn about the vineyard’s history and enjoy a selection of their wines at The Tasting Lounge or grab a bite to eat at the Veranda Café.

Monday to Sunday: 11.30am until 4pm (last tasting)
Batch Winery is Waiheke’s highest vineyard, with spectacular views over the Hauraki Gulf islands. Surrounded by picturesque vines, the winery is a popular venue space and offers relaxed dining options and tastings.

Terms and conditions
The Vineyard Explorer bus route and times may vary due to weather conditions. The timetable indicates the time the bus will depart from the bus stop. Vineyard opening and closing times may change on public holidays or for private event bookings.
The Hop-On Hop-Off Explorer Busses depart Matiatia Ferry Terminal every 30 or 60 minutes, depending on day and time of year.
Should there be any changes to the timetable, customers will be notified by their tour bus driver on their day of travel.
