  • The bus stops at a selection of wineries, restaurants, shops, art galleries, beaches, and nature walks. Hop off and explore the destinations along the way or stay on the bus and enjoy a full scenic 80-minute loop tour. 

  • If you are returning to Auckland, ride the Western Explorer Hop-On Hop-Off Bus back to Matiatia Ferry Terminal to catch the Fullers360 Waiheke Walk-up ferry from pier 1.

  • We recommend allowing at least half a day for the tour including the return ferry trip.

What is the cancellation policy?
Tickets can be exchanged or refunded up to 48 hours before your travel time. No refunds are given for cancellations within 48 hours of travel.

Do I need to book in advance?
Advance booking is recommended, especially during peak season, to guarantee availability.

How long is the ferry crossing to Waiheke?
The ferry crossing takes about 40 minutes each way.

Which pier does the ferry leave from?
The Waiheke Walk-up ferry departs from Piers 11 and 12 at Auckland's Downtown Ferry Terminal, and returns to Pier 1.

The Western Explorer Hop-On Hop-Off Buses depart Matiatia Ferry Terminal every 30 or 60 minutes, depending on day and time of year. 

Should there be any changes to the timetable, customers will be notified by their tour bus driver on their day of travel.
